Secrets of Strugur
A rare few Humans in Strugur trace their heritage directly back to Akaflege, but the vast majority are descendants of colonists who came to Stugur from the Kyrian Empire, which had in an age past united the continent of the same name.
That much is historically certain, but legends tell of magical wonders and architectural marvels beyond all present ambition in use by the Kyrians. Allegedly masters of teleportation magic, it’s said that once a colony ship landed in Strugur, no Kyrian ship would need visit the site again.
Approximately six hundred years ago, the fledgling colonies lost contact with the Empire. Exactly what fate befell it is unknown; perhaps it still survives to this day on distant Kyria. Here in Strugur, however, much Kyrian magical works either ceased functioning, or were lost as the colonies were subsumed by the wilds. A group of these colonies survived thanks to their close proximity and friendly weather, from which modern Pretarre was born. However, even there, in the depths of the libraries of the Adeptic Conclave, only the merest scraps of Kyrian knowledge survives.
