Human

Humans are the shortest-lived of all civilized stock on Strugur, and from the perspective of the others seem eager to make use of their limited time. Given to daring ambitions, heedless pride, and flexible ethics, Humans are creatures of action. Those few areas where civilization currently expands rather than consolidating against the dangers of the world can be traced to Human hubris, and along with Halflings, Human ambition built and mantains the trade routes enriching every major settlement across Strugur.

Other races generally find Human features to be brutish; frequently they see in the Human form whatever they find ugly or undesirable in their own stock.

While the Elves are generally more philosophical, none surpass Humans in straightforward piety. Their reverence for the Immortal Lords (or the Salitani, in Akaflege) is nearly ubiquitous, and particularly among rural Humans, faith and doctrine are often the framework of life itself for them.
